A Concept-Based Document Searching System
This paper proposes a new approach to document representation and searching mechanism. The underlying assumption is that the content of a document can be represented by a set of concepts. It improves search results with providing the documents that meet the semantic contents of user’s queries, rather than the queries keywords. Experiments have been carried out on the domain of financial documents, but the framework could be applied to any other domain using just an appropriate set of concepts.
