Yakup Paker

Yakup Paker is an Emeritus Professor of Parallel Computing at Queen Mary, University of London, UK. His research interests include parallel computing, real-time architectures for video processing, virtual studios, digital broadcasting convergence, and computer systems architectures. He has undertaken a range of research projects, funded by the EPSRC, the European Commission, and others. These have included developing a multi-processor architecture and systems software for real-time video processing, customised TV terminal, and advanced set-top-box based interactive TV, parallel operating systems and parallel architectures . He is the author of nearly 100 publications and the author/editor of around 10 books. He holds Ph D and MS degrees from Columbia University, New York, USA, and degree in Electrical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Turkey.
