Bachelor of Computer Science, School of Information Technology and Computer Science, University of Wollongong, Australia. Graduated with High Distinction or Distinction almost in every subject.
Worked on the project named Web Query Language, which involves building a web based query system to query unstructured data from Internet, using Java and Oracle database on Unix platform.

MSc in Information Systems, School of Computing, University of Leeds.
MSc project: Peer-to-Peer architectures applied to Knowledge Sharing Environments. Completed with Distinction.

  12/2002 – 10/2006 PhD in Computing, School of Computing, University of Leeds.
Thesis title: Collaborative e-Science Architecture for Scientific Research Communities Activities: (i) Integrating Grid technologies to Peer-to-Peer environment using Web Services to develop a collaborative architecture to support scientific research in e-Science community. (ii) Developing an adaptive resource discovery method for distributed and decentralised Peer-to-Peer environment using classification ontology

03/2000 – 09/2001

Assistant Lecturer, The Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam. Taught two subjects: Databases and Information Systems Analysis and Design. Was also a member of Department's Information System Group.
     
 

2003 – 06/2006

Teaching Assistant (part-time)- School of Computing, University of Leeds. Assist leading lecturers to prepare lecture slides, prepare and mark student coursework and demonstrate teaching materials in labs and tutorials. Subjects covered include Databases, Software Engineering, Java Programming, Internet Programming, Algorithms and Data Structures.
     
  07/2006 – 06/2007 Post Doctoral Research - Interdisciplinary Centre for Scientific Research in Music, University of Leeds, UK.
  • Responsible for contribution of the centre to a digital preservation project named CASPAR - an 8.8 million Euro project funded by EU - in collaboration with partners across Europe.
  • Teach a module on Electronic Music Synthesis to third year students
  • Organise regular internal seminars within the centre

MSc prize from the School of Computing, University of Leeds, for completing the MSc with the best result amongst master students in the academic year 2001-2002

     
  2002-2006 Overseas Research Students Award Scheme (ORSAS) from Universities UK, Tetley and Lupton Awards and top-up scholarship from School of Computing, University of Leeds, for PhD study.
